*Our Agenda:

8:00am - 8:30am - Sign In and Coffee

8:30am - 10:15am - "10 Secrets to Revitalizing Your Life When You’re Overstressed, Overwhelmed and Out of Balance"
Instructor: Susan Tolles

We all live in “overdrive” most of our lives, taking care of family, home, career and community, generally before addressing our own needs. Life gets out of balance and we lose control, and before we know it, we are totally drained of energy, too depleted to be of value to ourselves and others. In this interactive presentation participants will:

  • Learn to live at peak potential by nourishing the mind, body and spirit first.
  • Get the tools to reclaim their peace of mind and remained focused and organized when chaos is all around.
  • Discover the steps for powerful change and an immediate impact on their lives.
  • 10:30am - 12:00pm - "Protocol and Etiquette"
    Instructor: Jan Goss

Today’s workforce and clientèle are increasing in cultural diversity. The chance of doing or speaking something offensive is much greater than in days gone by. The past three decades have been a time of transition to a more informal, yet fast-paced, high-tech existence for most Americans. This is perhaps the first time in history that four generations are together in the workplace…those who lived through World War II, Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y… Add the international component and it is easy to see why we can see chaos and confusion. Our changing business environment demands that corporate executives master the principles of professionalism. This can help avoid the serious ramifications of inappropriate behavior, poor judgment, or cultural insensitivity. Simply said, Corporate Etiquette skills and International Protocol expertise can directly affect your company’s work environment, customer relations and financial bottom line.

    • Who taught you to shake hands?
    • What information is your handshake conveying?
    • How do I know what gift is appropriate?
    • Should you sit or stand when being introduced?
    • Whose name do you say first in an introduction?
    • Do you shake hands with a woman or man first?
    • Can you get better at remembering names?
    • Do you know how to politely break into a group?
    • When is it appropriate to hand out a business card?
    • Which side of the chair do you enter and exit from, and why does it matter?
    • Are you confident that your dining skills are polished and ready for a formal dinner?

Outstanding leaders know how to skillfully inspire, motivate, and empower others to do their very best. Effective leaders must continue to identify and sharpen their own leadership skills for both personal and professional growth. This interactive workshop takes a unique and creative approach to the identification and development of individual leadership skills. Using experiential learning, creative group exercises and teaming, participants will be able to integrate their life experiences, leadership strengths and their personal passions into a roadmap for success.
