Human resource professionals who want to strengthen their knowledge of performance management best practices to better advise management.
Course Description:
The goal of any organization is for employees to perform at their best level. However, managers know that their most difficult tasks are trying to motivate employees to perform, assess that performance and provide honest and effective feedback. Performance evaluations are one of the most dreaded tasks a supervisor faces. How do you summarize a whole year of performance into one form? Is there a way to deliver criticism without destroying morale? Will one review even have a meaningful impact in the long run? What about when an employee has a serious performance problem?
You’ll learn how to prevent personnel problems and make evaluations less time-consuming and more effective. You’ll learn how to identify performance issues before they become problems, deliver constructive feedback effectively, and build enthusiasm throughout the year. Why wait until a problem occurs in the workplace? Become a more effective and confident supervisor today.
This seminar provides clear explanations and realistic examples as well as tips and strategies that you can use in everyday situations. Workshop opportunities allow you to apply methods in a learning environment with peers and the instructors and learn simple, effective strategies for handling personnel issues legally and fairly.
